merry christmas, doggoneit
*siiigh*
I found a couple of really cool toys on who-know-where for the boys. Actually, I was looking at it for Casey, but then I found a sweet deal where I could get two. So I did.
I'm not sure Corey will be so enthused with them, but if he gets tired of it, I *think* I can use it. *ha!*
The bad things about your kids getting older are:
1. They can talk (back)
2. They can understand when you're hiding something from them
3. They learn to read
4. They're old enough to stay home by themselves while you go to the eye doctor
5. They're also old enough to sign for packages when the mailman comes
So add to all those the fact that when order things as gifts for your kids that they get delivered to your house even if you're gone....well, it can just be bad news.
I got this call from Casey, who had opted to stay here and do math. He tells me the mailman came. He says my insulin pump supplies came in. Good I reply. He says two more packages came, too. My heart sinks.
What were they I ask.
Well mama, I couldn't help it. It's Christmas presents. I tried not to see, but the picture is wrote all over the outside of the box. I'm sorry.
Ah shoot. Well, don't be looking at them any more! I'll be home soon, I hope.
Okay, mama. I really didn't mean to know what it is.
So since he's done'n seen it, you can too::

I asked him, after I got home and had to check to make sure they were in good shape and then, of course, we had to test them out...if I was going to box and wrap them up or was it going to be "Merry Early Christmas!"
You can guess what he said....

fyi::: THESE THINGS ARE SOOOO COOL!

LOL! Well, mine might, but so far, I can't get up much speed.
I used to skate LOTS when I was a kid & could even still skate the few times I've gone as an old person, but this thing ISN'T 'zackly like skating, even tho it says it's easy to learn for ppl who skate.
Case has it down, tho. He looks like a rubber dude when he goes down the road. So fluid and bendy-ish.
I may die.
I'll let you know if I do, 'k?

Your such a softie, G~!
I would have wrapped them up, and made them wait!!
LOL
Going out kidless? Your youngest being old enough to stay home alone??
Unfathomable thoughts!!!

Aw, G, I'm sorry the surprise was ruined. I'm with Linda, I'd have made him wait. LOL Thanks for the reminder to stick around the house now that Santa Claus (the Big Brown Truck) is on the way.

Nah. I gave 'em up for selfish reasons...
#1 - I don't gotta wrap 'em now...and they's BIG!
#2 - They would've been a challenge to fit under the tree, let alone storing somewhere til the big day.
#3 - I don't think I even HAVE that much paper either and besides, I HATE it when they know what's in the box...they bug me endlessly.
So there. Call me a softie if you want. Nyah. ;)

I'm sure, by now, you are fully aware of the difference between men and boys is the price of their toys! Lol! :0

Ya, their toys get more and more expensive every day!!
And they are never truly satisified, they always want more toys!!!!!
Sorry, but I'm sick of "toy" cars lately!
:)

Hey Girl!! I'm sorry about the presents being seen. I remember when Chad & I could spell out stuff in front of the kids and they had no clue and leaving my Christmas lists laying around *lol* This year Kassy knows what she is getting from us. We wanted her approval before we stuck it on lay a way. It's a new stereo/cd player with speakers for her car. It was the last one too! I feel bad because she knows...TEENS!!
Hope you have a great weekend :) I'm glad it's Friday!! {{Hugs}}

That looks like the coolest present EVER!! Someone gave my kids an XBOX for Christmas! It's hidden away.....but I'm SOO not happy! :) Oh--and my FIL is giving us money so we can get TWO (count 'em--2--Quads) for everyone, of course!! Think that should be enough for 7 kids, don't you?
Hey sorry, you had to go through that horrendous eye appt.

Those things would have been so poular when I was a kid. Our equivalent was the 20-inch bicycle with tall handlebars and banana seat and sissy bars on the back. I had a Schwinn Orange Crate and thought it couldn't get better than that.
You've shown me that it just did.

Hey, Geannie! Get on over to my place and feed my dog (the bottom of my side bar). Now, don't spend ALL morning playing with him cause he's just a puppy and he'll tire out! ROFLOL! :P

When I was younger, many times I found out what my Christmas gift was strickly by accident. I have stuff coming in for husband for Christmas that I told him not to look at if he got the mail-we'll see.
