Hey!! Surprise!! (new email addy, by the way!) Just had to chime in on the church thing. Not that I have any great thoughts or anything. Agree totally on the SS thing. HATE it! Hate the whole--walk in the church door & everyone in the family MUST go in totally different directions!!
Hate the "instruction" from the pulpit that you need to get your kids to church, every day, every time the doors open--THEN you can be assured that your children "may" turn out "okay".
Thankfully, dh is hearing from the HS in that area and we are spending more time together as a family, reading God's Word, talking about God's Word, instructing, admonishing, in a word---building Relationships!!
That said--he still feels this is the place for us to be. Some issues still come up, but at least we talk more together about them. He still thinks that the kids "need" to attend the weekly Youth Group Night where the flesh is inticed, fulfilled, and fed. It's important for them to have "fun". Sigh But at least we are all there together.
Sorry I've been absent from the meetings...am I still on the Roll Call?? Have you missed me??? :) :)
