it's all in the terminology

Two guys who worked together were both laid off, so off they went to the unemployment office. When asked his occupation, the first guy said, "Panty stitcher...I sew the elastic onto women's panties."

The clerk looked up panty stitcher. Finding it classified as unskilled labor, she gave him $300 a week unemployment pay.

The second guy was asked his occupation. "Diesel fitter," he replied.

Diesel fitter is listed as a specialized job, so the clerk gave the second guy $600 a week.

When the first guy found out he was furious. He stormed into the office to find out why his friend and co-worker was collecting double his pay.

The clerk explained, "Panty stitchers are unskilled, and diesel fitters are skilled labor."

"What skill?!" yelled the panty stitcher. "I sew the elastic and he pulls on it and says, 'Yep, dese'll fit 'er.'"

So boys and girls, using the correct (*shrugs* or sometimes incorrect) terminology is very VERY important.

Thank you.

Geannie, you crack me up sometimes!

SO how is life as Geannie lately? Just thought I'd ask ... don't mean to pry ... ;)

I thought you might like that-un, Chrys. ;)

Just keep your own big red panties on... hmm.. matter of fact.. if you squint, or look through bleary time-warp eyes (gwon.. try it!) that kinda looks like our Chrys dun't it... hmmmm....

Annnnyhows.. updoots, updots, updates forthcoming whence-withithith I have some moment to??? Then, and only then... willst I post thereof my recent lifeage. *ahem*

Owwww... I huth my thung.

LOL! Very cute!! Hope you have had a great summer. I'm looking forward to fall! I know, I'm crazy, but it feels like it's just around the corner!!!

Funny!!!

Oh my gosh, G! That is hilarious!!! I'm going to have to retell that one LOL

Hallo, Tracey (it's been a coon's age since I seed you! :) and Pilot Mom! :)

Jenean...I looked ALL OVER THE INTERNET for just the right "guy with big panties" photo... it took AGES and this poor fella STILL doesn't quite fill the bill.. maybe just link your retellin' over here. LOL!

I think he kinda makes the story "pop", altho... I'd kill for a shot of some ol' coot holding up a large-ish pair of bloomers giving them a good yank with that "dese'l fiter" look on his face to go along with this tale...

*siiiigh* But alas... there was not one to be found. :*^(

heh

OK, for a second there I thought that was T there trying on those gargantuan panties. LOLOL

No, Kym... if it'd been T, he'd-a had 'em on & tied around his neck in a bow.

*rolls eyes*

Besides that, this man has no large toddler hiding under his shirt.

"gargantuan panties"

That's the most hilarious phrase I've heard lately. I think I'm going to say it when the migraine is the worst... see how well it works at combatting pain.

Scientifical experimentations and all that...

*whimper*

Uh...I remember T as a very thin kinda guy? And I have to admit, I didn't know they were panties at first. I thought it was one of those big red Christmas sacks that you put lots of presents in. (I can't believe I typed that out loud...)

Sorry about your headaches :(

Have mercy Kym... you been away TOO long, girl. No more thin T. *siiigh*

Honey, I looked all over for a pic of some Cooter holding up a pair of big bloomers, but none could be found! Sheesh! This was the best I could find. I'm w/you...on first glance, it does look like a Santa sack. Hmmm.... (LOL!)

Oh & thanks about the headaches... hopefully, they'll go away soon. They involve my teeth too so it's like "Do I go to dentist?" but then ALL teeth hurt, so I know it's a Monster coming. :( It's maddening after awhile. Lord willing, they will go away soon.

Please Lord?!?

:S

Anyhow...thanks! (maybe we should plan a get-together sometime... and commiserate over how big the kids (& hubbies?! LOL) have gotten and how much we've all changed? ;)

Or... urgh... maybe it's best just to live w/our out-of-date memories? *whimper*
